Angle's Class I


The mesio-buccal cusp of the maxillary first molar is aligned directly over the buccal groove of the mandibular first molar

The mesio-buccal cusp of the mandibular first molar occludes in the central fossa area of the maxillary first molar A.K.A Disto-Occlusion, i.e. the mandible is placed distally.

Angle's Class III


The mesio-buccal cusp of the maxillary first molar is situated over the embrasure between the mandibular first and second molar A.K.A. Mesio-occlusion. The mandible is placed mesially.
